MONTREAL | Nearly forty deaths related to the COVID-19 recorded Thursday, Canada has taken a step closer to the milestone of 8000 losses of life recorded since the beginning of the health crisis.
Again, it was Quebec (+24) and in Ontario (+12) that have burdened this sad, doing that to this day 7994 people have died from this virus.
The total in the country, 97 530 people have been reported as positive to the COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, 405 additional cases on Thursday. Approximately 32 000 cases were still active and more than 57 600 persons were considered cured.
Ontario continues to test on a daily basis its population, with approximately 24 300 screens in 24 hours which have recorded 203 new cases of COVID-19, or more than Quebec (144).
The health authorities in ontario have recorded 31 544 contamination on the approximately 924 600 screens since the beginning of the health crisis.
Even the prime minister, Doug Ford had to lend themselves to the exercise, and his test was negative, as some of his ministers, including one who has been in contact with an infected person.
On all cases of contamination, 2487 people have lost their battle against the disease, including 12 new fatalities announced Thursday.
During this same period, the 10 new deaths were recorded in Quebec, in addition to the other 14 that occurred prior to June 3, which leads to a total of 5105 loss of life.
Quebec has also had 144 additional cases, bringing the total to 53 485 infected persons in the province. Furthermore, less than 10 000 individuals have passed a test, according to the most recent daily data provided Thursday.
Alberta announced on Thursday that 40 new cases, but has corrected its number of death by removing two. Saskatchewan has reported two new cases, as well as the New Brunswick, and British Columbia has been reported 14.
