The screening COVID-19 is more popular than ever in Ontario, while the province has tested a record number of 33 492 individuals in the day Friday.
Most populous province of Canada has now made 1 327 806 tests. It was also reported Friday 160 new cases positive to the virus, for a total of 34 476, as well as eight additional deaths, which bring the total to 2652 losses. However, 178 people have been cured of the COVID-19 Friday.
A huge proportion of the tests in the country are made in Ontario, while Dr. Theresa Tam, director-in-chief of the public health agency of Canada, reported that, on average, 38 000 people were screened each day during the last week.
In comparison, in Québec, on 23 June, the last day for which data are available, 8827 samples were taken.
