COVID-19: Ontario strongly recommends wearing a mask

UPGRADE DAY

Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health, Kieran Moore, again recommends wearing a mask in public places due to the many viruses circulating and increasingly affecting children.

With COVID-19 as well as the rise in cases of influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), Ontario's healthcare system is facing enormous pressure, primarily in pediatric emergencies.

“We are facing a triple threat that requires action to protect the most vulnerable in our community, the youngest, the oldest and those with health problems,” explained Dr. Moore during a press briefing on Monday morning. The latter then recalled the importance of protective measures, such as hand washing and wearing a mask.
