The Minister of Labor, Jean Boulet, invited employers to follow the recommendations of public health, with regard to the detection of cases of COVID-19 and the period of isolation.

“I urge workplaces to follow public health recommendations on isolation. The [CNESST] continues its inspections to ensure compliance with health measures. Together we will limit the spread of the virus, ”the minister wrote in a message posted on Twitter .

Among these preventive measures, we find good ventilation of the premises, the separation of two meters or the wearing of the mask continuously.

Also, the worker must be isolated “in a closed and well ventilated room »Especially for breaks and meals. The worker must be “assigned to a single installation and a single department” and the employer must “inform other workers of the presence of a contact or a case”, can we read in the list of preventive measures published by the Ministry of Health and Social Services.

Recall that on Tuesday, Quebec announced that PCR tests carried out in screening clinics are now only offered to a certain category of people and that the recommended duration of isolation in the presence of symptoms of COVID-19 was reduced from 10 days to 5 days, for those adequately vaccinated.

Yet some employers ask their workers to be tested of COVID 19 to validate their state of health.
