COVID-19: slight increase in hospitalizations in Quebec

The number of patients with COVID-19 in Quebec hospitals increased slightly on Wednesday. 

According to the most recent report from Santé Québec, we has 1,320 virus-related hospitalizations, an increase of nine from the previous day. On the intensive care side, the situation has remained relatively stable (33, -2).

There are seven additional deaths linked to COVID-19, including one that occurred in the last 24 hours, three there has between two and seven days, and three more than a week ago.

In the screening centers, 574 new infections were detected while 44 positive rapid tests were declared on the platform of the government.

No less than 2,043 health care workers are absent from the network due to the virus, whether for preventive withdrawal, isolation or even awaiting results.
