COVID-19: tightening of measures at the CHSLD Argyll in Sherbrooke

The measures were tightened at the CHSLD Argyll, in Sherbrooke, where there were three outbreaks of COVID-19.

On floors 3, 4, and 5 of the Argyll accommodation center, it was the action on Friday morning. Workers from the Qualinet company came to reinforce the CIUSSS disinfection teams.

All beneficiaries who have contracted COVID-19 will be grouped together in a containment zone of around 40 beds on the 4th floor.

From today until December 17, visits by caregivers are prohibited.

There were nine new cases there on Friday, for a cumulative 79: 52 among residents and 27 among employees. A 4e Death possibly related to COVID-19 has also been reported.

The CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS says it is doing everything it can to stop the spread of the virus but that the development of hot zones within certain facilities does indeed put additional pressure on the teams.
