“Creative city, it's a second Port-Marianne”: Arthur explains why he chose to invest in this new district of Montpellier

Arthur Cholley, 30 ans, a acheté son premier appartement dans l'immeuble Opale&Sens de Vestia au coeur de Cité créative. Il explique son choix. 

Investing in Cité Créative was an obvious choice for Arthur Cholley. Several reasons guided his choice. First, this thirty-something works at Vestia, the developer in charge of the construction of Opale&Sens, currently under construction opposite the Halle Tropisme. The second: "It was a good deal." He benefited from an affordable rate as a first-time buyer and a VAT of 5.5% instead of 20%. That is 130,000 € for a T2. “That's 70,000 € less than the market price." Last but not least: “Creative City is close to the center” and has a lot of potential. It's a second Port-Marianne in a way." He also admires the design of his building with its undulating façade, the signature of Belgian architect Vincent Callebaut. 

Reuse of grey water

"The prefabricated concrete modules are arranged in the form of a vertical and horizontal braid with an alternation of large terraces and small Haussmannian balconies", explains Rémi Bonnaure, works director at Vestia. Elegance is not the only special feature of this 5-story building. “The gray water will be reused for the toilets and watering the planters that will adorn the balconies. A filter system will be installed in the basement.” Arguments that have convinced Arthur. 

Apartments still available

He doesn't care about the work all around him, it will come to an end: he will leave the Hôtel de Ville district for his T2 at the end of 2025. He can't wait to take line 5 that crosses Cité créative. Several T4 and T5 are still available out of the 38 apartments in the building. Some with an attic terrace, others in duplex. High-end between 400,000 € and… 900,000 €.
