Cyberharassment of a rapper and a journalist: Booba's Twitter account suspended for an indefinite period

In recent days, rapper Booba has been relaying photomontages, as well as rumors against rapper Serane and journalist Mehdi Maïzi. These actions resulted in his X account (formerly Twitter) being deactivated for an indefinite period. 

Famous for his rich musical career, rapper Booba is regularly talked about on social networks. Already the target of a complaint from influencer Magali Berdah for cyberharassment, the "duc" this time took on two personalities from the world of French rap. 

"Erase the most profitable part of rap to replace it"

To understand the reason for his actions, we have to go back to last week, when Mehdi Maïzi, the rap manager of Apple Music, announced on his Instagram account the arrival of Serane, a rapper of the new generation, in his show Le Code. 

For the Boulogne artist exiled in Miami, The Code wants "to erase the most profitable part of rap to replace it", brings in 20 minutes. 

Not being in agreement with the rap journalist's choice of guest, Booba offers him a more "profitable" of rappers according to his own vision of rap. He goes even further by announcing on Thursday January 11 the creation of a “new media”, which will aim to “give visibility to new talents as well as ;#39;to confirmed talents", relays the X Hyconiq account.

What causes Booba to be accused of cyberharassment is his incitement to hatred launched against the rapper Serane by his community of fans. Mehdi Maïzi is also targeted by photomontages and other disclosures of private conversations. The latter does not fail to react to this on his X account.

This affair brings back a little revenge between the two men. Indeed, Mehdi Maïzi was employed by Booba, as a host on the OKLM web radio in 2014. The media was finally shut down during confinement. 

Faced with this story, it is difficult to say that Booba will not repeat such acts in the future. However, the suspension of his X account for an indefinite period makes his insulting content against Serane and Mehdi Maïzi unavailable.
