Dakar 2024: Lozerian Martin Bonnet wins his first title in the SSV category, alongside Xavier de Soultrait

Quatrième de la dernière étape du Dakar ce vendredi 19 janvier, Xavier de Soultrait et son co-pilote lozérien Martin Bonnet ont réussi à garder de l'avance au classement général et s'imposer dans la catégorie SSV.
At the wheel of their RZR Pro R from the Sébastien Loeb racing team, the two Frenchmen had 2'49" ahead of their pursuers before the start of the last stage of the Dakar.
A 175 km long stage around Yanbu at the end of which, they kept 2'25" on the Sadeleer/Metge duo, to win the SSV category at the wheel of their Polaris buggy.
"It's a lot of emotions. I didn't come far from winning in 2021 on a motorcycle, but I had to give up. It was hard to leave again, to jump into the unknown. But I am very happy to have found Martin (Bonnet, his co-pilot), Polaris and the Sébastien Loeb Racing-Bardahl team,” confided Xavier de Soultrait a few minutes after arrival at the microphone of' ;nbsp;La Chaîne L'Équipe.
