Death of Juice Wrld : his family speaks out on his drug addiction

It’s a new shock which was announced on 8 December 2019 : Juice Wrld died at the age of 21 years. The american rapper has been the victim of a “crisis” after a flight between Los Angeles and Chicago, but the origin of his malaise is not yet known. His death could have been caused by his addiction to opiates. Today, his family relies on his drug addiction.

The music world continues to lose talented young artists between the death of Avicii, Mac Miller, Lil Peep, XXXTentacion, Chester Bennington (Linkin Park), DJ Arafat or that of Juice Wrld. This is the 8 December 2019 as the death of the performer of Lucid Dreams has been announced. But what has happened in the past ? The reasons for his disappearance still remain a mystery. We only know that the rapper collapsed to the ground after a flight between Los Angeles and Chicago before being transported, still alive, to the hospital. He died a few hours after his arrival.

“Jarad has struggled with addiction to prescription drugs”

According to the info from TMZ, Juice Wrld thought to have ingested a large quantity of oxycodone after having learned that his business would be searched by the police : they found in his luggage, codeine, weapons, and thirty pounds of marijuana. The rapper could therefore well be died of an overdose, such as Mac Miller, but for the moment, the autopsy gave nothing. In any case, his addiction to drugs, opiates especially, and cough syrups, was not a secret to his family, his loved ones and for his ex Alexia Smith.

We liked Jarad with all our heart, and we can’t believe he left so early. As he has often said in his music and his fans, Jarad has struggled with addiction to prescription drugs. Addiction knows no boundaries, and its impact goes well beyond the person who is the combat. Jarad was a son, a brother, a grandson, a friend, and much more to so many people who wanted more than anything to see him overcome the addiction, “explains the mother of Juice Wrld, Carmella Wallace, TMZ. The artist had even planned to follow a therapy to fight his addiction, just before his death.
