Ce mercredi 1er mai 2024, Maddy Baloy, cette jeune américaine, star de TikTok est décédée à l’âge de 26 ans d’un cancer.

After a long fight against illness, this social media star died this Wednesday. Her name was Maddy Baloy, she was 26 years old and was battling stage 4 cancer. For several months, this young American had been sharing her daily life on Instagram and TikTok while she was terminally ill. Her death was confirmed by her boyfriend, Louis Rishers, to the magazinePeople.

A long fight

"Madison passed away peacefully last night. J& rsquo;I turned 27 yesterday. I held his hand all day, that's all I needed, these were the words of Louis, to inform of the death the young woman.

In 2022, Maddy Baloy complains of stomach pain. Even though she tried to change her diet for several months, in February 2023, her health deteriorated: she vomited blood and experienced sensory disturbances, explains the magazine Télé Loisirs. After having undergone surgery, the young woman, known to the networks, has numerous cancerous tumors in her large intestine. Doctors only give him a maximum of five years of life.

In order to feel less "alone and isolated", Maddy Baloy shares and explains her illness and its symptoms on TikTok. She talks about her daily life but also the things she wants to do before leaving: a tattoo with her grandmother, a "beautiful wedding" or even meet chef Gordon Ramsey. She will even eat in his restaurant. "I hope you had a good time", he  he said after the meal. But the illness ended up winning.
