Death of the queen: what to expect for the next few days?

A quarter-turn protocol is planned for the days to come. Here are the next scheduled steps.
- September 11: The Queen's coffin is transported to the monarch's official residence in Scotland.
- September 12: A religious ceremony is held at Edinburgh Cathedral attended by members of the Royal Family.
- September 12: the king leaves London for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
- September 13: the queen's coffin is flown to Buckingham Palace , in London.
- September 14: The coffin is transported from Buckingham Palace to Westminster for the Queen to be displayed in Westminster Hall for four or five days.
- September 19: State funeral takes place at Westminster Abbey, London.
