Demonstration: mobilized through the streets of Nîmes, around a hundred people said no to fascism

Nearly a hundred people gathered in the city of Antonins this Thursday, June 20, for a peaceful stroll. With fascism and colonialism in their sights.

"Siamo tutti antifascisti !". The slogan, chanted in Italian at the top of her lungs by Marie in front of the Monoprix, clearly announced the purpose of the day's mobilization.

This Thursday, June 20, at the end of the afternoon, there were almost a hundred mobilized in Nîmes like this young woman, at the call among others of the CNT 30, to express their full and complete opposition to fascism and colonialism. Two regimes behind which "capital always hides", as several banners chanted in front of Carré d’Art around 6:30 p.m.

After several speeches, these men and women from the four corners of Gard strolled peacefully through the streets of the city, like these young (and not so young) activists of the Palestinian cause, or even came to express their support for the Kanak people and their "many unfortunate victims of the riots", like Elisabeth, 37 years old.

Around 7:30 p.m., the procession gathered at Place Montcalm in front of the plaque placed in tribute to the Spanish fighters who died for the Republic. Before dispersing in the early evening without any incident.
