7 November in the apartment on Strastnoy Boulevard, Moscow, went on 69-m to year of life legendary composer Yuri Markelov.

That composer was found dead, Russian media have reported.

Markelov wrote more than 70 songs and has issued 17 albums. He wrote music for cartoons and documentaries, wrote chamber and orchestral works.

Songs of authorship of Yury Markelov was performed by Joseph Kobzon and Lev Leshchenko.

The composer collaborated with the vocal-instrumental ensemble “Adonis” and many famous poets Bulat Okudzhava, Lev Oshanin, Gregory Pozhenyana, Igor Shklyarevskiy, Yevgeny Yevtushenko and Alla Rusteikis.
