From this Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in the morning, the hamlet of Haut-Vernet, where little Emile disappeared a little over eight months ago, will be closed off.
The investigators are struggling to unravel the mystery surrounding the disappearance of little Emile. The little boy vanished on July 8, 2023, in the hamlet of Haut-Vernet in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and has remained untraceable since. From this Wednesday morning, the locality will be blocked by the authorities.
An organized and planned scenario
And it's not for nothing that law enforcement does this. The affair is taking a new turn this week, since this Thursday, March 28, a role-play will take place in order to better understand how the afternoon unfolded. from which little Emile disappeared this summer, reports RTL.
This scenario, a sort of reconstruction of the facts, has been planned "for a long time", which obliges the authority to seal off the sector the day before, that is to say this Wednesday.
What will happen?
The two investigating judges from Aix-en-Provence who are directing the investigations will be present and will supervise the scenario. They are the ones who requested the procedure, explain our colleagues.
A dozen people will be asked next week to reenact the day of July 8. The scenario is regulated, just like the reconstruction, by the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Residents will go to the same places, at the same times, to do the same activities. Emile's grandfather and grandmother, who were looking after the child on the day of his disappearance, were summoned, as were some of the little boy's uncles and aunts.
The objective is twofold: for investigators to observe the interactions that took place that day, including those that might have escaped them. And let people remember the specific circumstances of that day.
