Cap Nature propose depuis trois ans des balades au fil de l'eau qui ravissent une clientèle curieuse de voir la ville et ses richesses sous un autre angle.
Responsible and sustainable tourism, sport, culture, ecology, this is the credo of Cap Nature Agde. A few days ago, Fabrice Hatt, the manager of Cap Nature Agde, was live on France Inter to talk about his passion for outdoor activities and highlight in value the town of Agde.
He welcomes Midi Libre, this Saturday morning, Place de La Marine, where he has just dropped off holidaymakers after a historic visit to Agde by canoe.
Circuits to discover the territory
"With my wife Samira, for more than three years, we have been accompanying groups, in France and abroad, to whom we offer sporting stays: sailing, climbing, caving, canyoning, hiking… We decided, three years ago now, to travel this beautiful territory from Vias to Agde, offering calm, soothing circuits in magnificent landscapes. We stopped at various reception points on the banks of the Hérault. The last one in place will be operational on Monday July 1, on the pier at Tamarissière", explains Fabrice Hatt. "From the beginning of spring to the fall, we mainly devote our activity to canoe-kayak trips between the sea, the Thau pond, the Etang de Thau, the Etang de Thau, and the Etang de Thau. Hérault or the Canal du Midi. A very popular activity among summer visitors and even locals." "My husband is also passionate about the 2,600 years of history of the city of Agde and its heritage. On each outing, depending on where he is, while paddling, he tells the story. Thus, these sporting walks are also cultural", specifies Samira.
Paddling around Cap d'Agde
The originality of Cap Nature Agde consists of offering itinerant routes near vacation spots, to avoid traveling by car. This ecological and responsible approach offers the possibility of discovering the ponds, the river, the Canal and the sea in a different way.
Cap Nature Agde offers a beautiful circuit of walks on the water, going from the volcanic reliefs of the cliffs of the Grand Conque, the rocks of the 2 Frères, from Fort Brescou to the ponds, paddling along the preserved coasts of the ;Marine protected area. The opportunity to observe seabirds, fish and marine mammals in their natural habitat or along the river. All this offers a mosaic of landscapes as beautiful as they are different, ideal for relaxation and discovery. "Our canoe rentals depart from different points in the surrounding area d’Agde, depending on the requests and geographical location of vacationers. So no more traffic jams lasting several tens of minutes to enjoy an activity."
