The doctors called a product that improves glucose control in people with prediabetes.

But the data obtained by scientists from the Technological Institute of Illinois (USA), suggests that the inclusion of raspberry in the diet of patients with prediabetes and insulin resistance improves the natural functions of glucose control in their body.
The effect of raspberry has been studied experimentally. The researchers monitored two groups of people – patients with overweight had prediabetes and insulin resistance, metabolically healthy and aged 20 to 60 years. Subjects received a Breakfast that contained the same amount of calories and nutrients, but differed in the amount of added frozen raspberries: one Breakfast option was stripped of the raspberries, the other added one Cup of raspberries and one with two cups.

They recalled that patients with prediabetes are at increased risk of several diseases, including the development of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
