Through the vineyards of the La Yole estate, a wine and gastronomic heritage is revealed in the heart of summer. In order to introduce as many people as possible to its world, it offers various activities.

At the heart of the La Yole estate, Roman remains bear witness to a flourishing wine-growing and naval activity from the beginning of our era. This vineyard, whose name echoes the yole, a small sailing boat, and the vine, is a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity. Dating back to 1771, the La Yole estate has seen its wines recognized throughout the region, its cellars being located at a strategic crossroads of three main roads. In the 1950s, Jean Gassier, an agricultural engineer, fell under the spell of the place and initiated a significant transformation. Today, La Yole covers 110 hectares and offers not only wines, but also various farm products, providing a complete experience of rural and wine-growing life. "The estate is constantly offering new products", explains Ambre Cano, a seasonal worker for the summer.

"Create and make discover"

In order to expand its clientele, the vineyard organizes numerous events. "Creating and making discoveries are priorities", smiles Ambre. Every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the estate offers a winegrower's walk. This walk through the vines allows visitors to understand the production of wine and its history, followed by a tasting of four wines. On Friday evenings, from 6 p.m., a night market highlights local products and artisanal creations, bringing a touch of festivity and discovery. The opening of the Halles de La Yole in early July introduces a gourmet food court concept. This space offers a variety of culinary choices, visitors can taste on site or take away their favorite delicacies.

Gourmet Discovery Evenings

This Thursday, August 22 at 7:30 p.m., the La Yole estate will host a gourmet discovery evening. After an aperitif in the store, participants will attend a presentation in images, its history and its wines, followed by a tasting dinner of seven courses accompanied by seven wines “accompanied by their respective explanations”, adds the employee. Building on the success of the evening of August 8, which brought together around fifteen people, La Yole hopes to see as many people for this second and last session of the summer.
