Drama at Windsor: the investigators interviewed one of the survivors

Drame à Windsor: les enquêteurs ont interrogé l’une des survivantes

The police officers of the Sûreté du Québec were finally able to interview one of the survivors of the family drama that occurred on Monday, at Windsor, in Estrie, in which two men died.

The authorities learned that a fourth person – a woman – was in the residence where the events occurred, on the street Crabtree.

When the shots rang out, the woman would be saved to call for help at a neighbor’s home.

This woman has also been encountered by the investigators of the crimes against the person.

At this stage of the investigation, the hypothesis of a murder and an attempted murder followed by a suicide would be preferred.

The suspect in this case, Daniel Royal, would have been introduced at the home of his brother-in-law, Serge Dubois.

It ignores the motives which have prompted it to open fire on his brother-in-law and on the joint of it.

Royal would have then turned the gun on himself.

The police arrived on the scene, they discovered three people dead. Serge Dubois and Daniel Royal, aged 62 and 63 years, are dead, while the wife of Mr. Dubois has survived his injuries.

It would now in a stable condition at the hospital.

The fourth person present on the premises at the time of the facts would not have been hurt.

An autopsy should be performed on the bodies of the victims in the course of the next few days.
