Drama during a motocross competition: an 8-year-old child dies when hit by a pilot

An 8-year-old child who was riding a 65 cc motorcycle would have lost his balance after gaining momentum on a bump, indicates West France. Another pilot who was arriving just behind was unable to avoid him and hit him head-on. 

Hospitalized in Brest

"The events took place on an approved circuit during a competition", said a gendarme from Lanion to News. 

Quickly taken care of by emergency services, the little boy was in cardiorespiratory arrest at the time of his treatment. 

Hospitalized in Brest, he did not survive his injuries, our colleagues from Ouest-France learned this Tuesday. Several witnesses must be heard as part of an investigation which will shed light on the exact circumstances of the accident.
