ROXTON | A man of thirty years, was drowned Saturday afternoon near a beach in Roxton Pond, Montérégie.
In all likelihood, the victim could not swim, said the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The man was taking advantage of the beautiful weather with loved ones on a beach near the boulevard David-Bouchard when the tragedy happened, around 1445.
The emergency services have attempted cpr, but to no avail.
The death of the man was found at the hospital, 16h, confirmed the SQ.
Investigators from the SQ site visits in order to shed light on the circumstances of the drowning.
They had already left the scene by late afternoon.
