Dubreuil and Gélinas-Beaulieu take gold in the team sprint in Poland

Long track speed skaters Laurent Dubreuil, Antoine Gélinas-Beaulieu and Anders Johnson dominated Tomaszow Mazowiecki's World Cup team sprint on Friday in Poland en route to the top step of the podium.
The Canadian trio posted a time of 1 min 19.53 s to edge the Norwegians (+1.36 seconds) and the Dutch (+2.08 seconds) ).
Slightly slower than their opponents at the start of the race, the Canadians accelerated to take control of this event.
A little earlier, Gélinas-Beaulieu had ranked fifth in the 1500m won by American Jordan Stolz. David La Rue meanwhile finished 12th in category B at this distance.
For her part, Valérie Maltais finished sixth in the 3000m.
