Dwayne Johnson's mother involved in serious car accident

UPDATE DAY

Dwayne Johnson is grateful that his mother, Ata, 74, survived a serious car accident on Wednesday (1 Feb 23). 

The star of Black Adamposted a photo of his mother's wrecked red Cadillac on Instagram a day after the scary crash. The photo shows that the front passenger side of the SUV was badly damaged.

“Angels of mercy watched over my mother as she was in a car accident last night,” Dwayne wrote Johnson captioned the photo.

“It will survive and continue to be rated. This woman survived lung cancer, a rocky marriage, a head-on collision with a drunk driver and a suicide attempt.”

He added: “She is a survivor, d 'a way that makes angels and miracles real.'

Dwayne Johnson, 50, then thanked Los Angeles police and firefighters who helped him and his mother through this ordeal. 

“Thank you LAPD and LAFD for being so caring and focused,” he wrote. 

“Thank you for staying on the phone and for talking to me about everything (sic). I have one relative left, so if you still have your mom and dad, make sure you hug them tight, 'cause you never know when you'll get that 3am call we never want to get (sic )..”

Dwayne Johnson's father, professional wrestler Rocky Johnson, died in 2020 of a pulmonary embolism at the age of 75.
