Elyzabeth Diaga: The triumphant return of Queens of Rock
Building on the success obtained in Las Vegas, Elyzabeth Diaga is today offering a new Quebec parenthesis to her Queens of Rock< tour. strong>. Elyzabeth Diaga has been rocking the Strip for more than two years now with her show tracing the history rock through its most outstanding female icons. In all, these are some 200 performances of Queens of Rockwhich were performed in front of crowds of up to 600 people each night.
Welcomed with open arms by the Végassian scene, the singer has, in passing, reaped countless rave reviews, in addition to a good handful of American awards.
But the Quebecer has never forgot his roots. Nor those of his show, since it was first created in the metropolis, precisely a decade ago.
“There is nothing like coming back to sing at home, in Quebec . This is where it all started, both for me and for Queens of Rock. To find myself in front of my family and my friends, there is nothing that can beat that, ”says Elyzabeth Diaga, in an interview with Le Journal.
The show may celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2023, but it has never stopped evolving over the years. years. It is, among other things, tinged with the opulence and bombast of Las Vegas that Queens of Rock returns to us in a brand new version, this time adapted to the Quebec public. Because a new segment will come to give thanks to the “queens” from here, like Marjo or Diane Dufresne.
“There are so many women who have forged musical history in Quebec. It is high time that we give them the homage they deserve,” declares Elyzabeth Diaga. also promises nods to new queens, these “younger” ones. Who are they? Elyzabeth Diaga prefers to reserve the surprise.
After this Quebec parenthesis, Queens of Rockwill be flying back to Las Vegas next month for residency in a brand new venue: the Orleans Hotel & Casino and its showroom capable of accommodating up to 850 spectators.
But even before returning to the City of Vice, Elyzabeth Diaga is already preparing her return to Quebec. In addition to performances expected at our festivals during the summer period, a new portion of her tour will criss-cross the province in the fall to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Queens of Rock as it should be: by big.
