Elevate your aperitif with these pear slices with prawns and avocado

Here is a surprising recipe where pears (almost!) turn into crackers. In addition to impressing the gallery, these slices of juicy pears covered with a delicious mixture of shrimp and avocado lend themselves well to a spring aperitif, without it being complicated!

  • INGREDIENTS

    For the avocado shrimp

    400 g frozen northern shrimp, thawed and drained

    1 avocado , cubed

    30 ml (2 tbsp) mayonnaise

    7.5 ml (1/2 tbsp) sambal oelek (or sriracha)

    7.5 ml (1/2 tbsp) fresh coriander, chopped

    5 ml (1 tsp) honey

    Zest and juice of 1/2 lime

    4 to 6 pears, sliced

    Black sesame seeds, to garnish

    PREPARATION

    • In a bowl, combine all the ingredients “for the avocado shrimp”.
    • Slice the pears. Using a small 30 ml (2 tbsp) ice cream scoop or a serving spoon, place the shrimp filling on each slice. Place on a large serving platter and garnish with black sesame seeds.
