A specialist radio journalist, Estelle Henry is also passionate about exploration and surpassing oneself.
A new face at the head of the Press and Communication Club of Gard… and an adventurous temperament. Estelle Henry, radio journalist (but not only), correspondent RMC in a large part of the South of France, based in Nîmes, was designated by her peers to take over presidency of the Gard Press and Communication Club. She succeeds Thierry Allard (Objectif Gard).
Arlesian, Estelle Henry crossed the Rhône to study at Daudet and Vauban in the 2000s. At that time, she participated in the launch of Vaucluse radio Raje in Nîmes: a revelation for the student of literature and history who will soon want to make this media her profession.
After several years in Paris and various professional experiences where she specialized in radio journalism, Estelle finally decided to return to Nîmes. Correspondent for RMC, but also Radio Classique, she also sometimes freelances for the specialized press , sailing, in particular.
Bivouac, podcast by the fire
Because Estelle Henry is also a lover of adventures on the open sea, at sea and on land. She created the podcast Bivouac, where she receives, around a campfire, people with "inspiring profiles", modern-day adventurers  ;: the underwater archaeologist Luc Long, the Australian desert survival runner Rémi Camus or the climatology researcher Jacob Karhu, who became a hermit in the Pyrenees for a year. What fascinates her in these stories ? "The courage that one must mobilize to overcome one's fear, the humility in the face of nature , the resourcefulness…" Estelle wishes to produce a second season of this series devoted, this time, exclusively to exceptional women.
Human connections
At the head of the Gard press and communications club, "surrounded by a great team", Estelle Henry wishes to carry out work on different themes: artificial intelligence in the media, violence against women, neighborhoods, ecology: < em>"We are, here in Gard, at the forefront of climate change. Committed, she wishes more than ever to create, through the club, the exchange: "We are not a club of ourselves. We are also here to do education, she explains. Establish human-to-human connections."
