Despite a slight drop in contamination, several people are still hospitalized with COVID in hospitals in Estrie and Centre-du-Québec, thus continuing to exhaust health personnel.

Dr. Benoit Heppell, of the CIUSSS de l'Estrie-CHUS, maintains that this drop is not being felt in hospitals and that the majority of services are facing heavy traffic that is exhausting the staff in place.

The occupancy rates in the emergency room are exploding at the Fleurimont hospital in Sherbrooke (139%), at the CSSS from Memphrémagog to Magog (186%) and to the Sainte-Croix hospital in Drummondville (163%).
