Euro 2024. Netherlands – France: the Blues come up against a strong Dutch team

Dans la Red Bull Arena de Leipzig, l’équipe de France jouera son deuxième match de l’Euro 2024 contre les Pays-Bas, ce vendredi 21 juin.

38e : Griezmann's free kick is cleared by Van Dijk. Upamecano completely misses his recovery pass.

37e : Thuramn raises from his camp and ;#39;approaching the Batavian surface, he was stopped irregularly by De Vrij.

36e : new loss of ball for the Blues which does not ;rsquo;are no longer able to build. Fortunately, the Netherlands are imprecise in the last 25 meters.

35e:Dembélé loses the ball in the Blues' camp. Simons hits the axis but his shot is very soft to worry Maignan.

34e: Frimpong recovers the ball in the central circle and pierces alone in the axis. Saliba follows him well to counter his shot at the end of the race.

12th: the Blues finally take possession of the ball but few solutions are offered to the ball carrier.

10e:the “Oranjes” settle into the Blues' camp. The latter do not press the ball carrier and defend in a low block.

8th: New incursion of the Netherlands into the penalty area, Depay then Simons knits with the ball but Saliba clears far.

6th: Kanté doubles with Dembélé on the right side, passes back to Koundé whose slightly short cross is pushed back by Van Dijk.

4th: Griezmann responds to Frimpong, with a long-range and floating shot, he forces Verbruggen to relax. Here again the corner comes to nothing.

3rd: it is the Netherlands who keep the ball in these first minutes and who put on intense pressure.

1st:huge opportunity on the first possession of the Batavians, Frimpong recovers a ball and overtakes Hernandez who counters the shot and Maignan relaxes to deflect the ball which was flying into the goals. The next corner results in nothing.
