European Elections: “A false duel”, Raphaël Glucksmann regrets being “excluded” from the debate between Gabriel Attal and Jordan Bardella

Raphaël Glucksmann épingle un "faux duel" entre Gabriel Attal et Jordan Bardella, qui "invisibilise" la candidate macroniste Valérie Hayer.

The head of the socialist list in the European elections Raphaël Glucksmann regretted this Sunday, May 12, 2024, being "excluded" of the debate scheduled for May 23 between Prime Minister Gabriel Attal and National Rally candidate Jordan Bardella, pinning a "false duel" which "invisibilizes" the Macronist candidate Valérie Hayer.

"Do you find it normal that the public service organizes two weeks before the European election, a debate between the right and the ;extreme right excluding the left ?" questioned the MEP on France 3.

The president of the RN, well ahead of the polls ahead of the Macronist list and that led by Mr. Glucksmann for the Socialist Party and Place Publique, will debate on France 2 with the head of government on the 23rd  May at 8:15 p.m., a few days before the vote on June 9.

"A false duel"

"Do you find it normal that a list which is 'touch-touch' in the polls with the list of Macronists be excluded from this debate ? The public service is the service of the public, not the service of the government", s&rsquo ;is insurgent Raphaël Glucksmann. The candidate also regretted that Valérie Hayer "was made invisible and replaced by the Prime Minister who is not a candidate".< /p>

"Permanently reinstall this false duel between the government and the extreme right, between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen, between Mr. Attal and Mr. Bardella, it’is extremely dangerous", he also regretted.

Raphaël Glucksmann already debated on April 12 on France Inter against Jordan Bardella, but not against Valérie Hayer, whom he is trailing in the polls.
