European elections: after the agreement between Willy Schraen and Jean Lassalle, the Rural Alliance explodes in flight

Laurent Jaoul, Louis Picamoles (left), and Robert Margé (right), have chosen to leave the list formerly led by Willy Schraen. – A.R.

FREE MIDI INFO. Laurent Jaoul, Robert Margé and Louis Picamoles mark the end of their adventure within the Rural Alliance, the list in the running for the European elections.

"We, Laurent Jaoul, mayor of Saint-Brès (Hérault), Jean-Michel Ladet, mayor of Campagnac (Aveyron), Robert Margé, President of the breeders of French Toros (Aude), Louis Picamoles, former player of the XV of France (Hérault) and Henri Itier, former president of the Fédération Française de la Course Camarguaise (30), candidates from Occitanie on the list of the Rural Alliance, let us express our disagreement regarding the electoral agreement concluded between Willy Schraen and Jean Lassalle.

The content and conditions of the political agreement concluded between Willy Schraen and Jean Lassalle were done on the sly, without prior consultation with the members of the Rural Alliance. These conditions, we choose to withdraw from the Rural Alliance list."

Personalities from Occitanie leave the list

It is through the terms of this press release of which Midi Libre was able to become aware this Sunday, March 10 at midday, that it was therefore acquired that the # 39;Rural Alliance, initially supported by Willy Schraen and the figures from Occitanie who left the movement, finally exploded in mid-air.

Lassalle n°1 since Wednesday

This list in the running for the European elections, presented on December 5 in Paris, and on which Laurent Jaoul and Louis Picamoles, for example, appeared in the first five places, never arrived to break through in the polls (she has never exceeded 1% of voting intentions). A rapprochement had been made with Jean Lassalle, to whom Williy Schraen had given up his place as No. 1 on the list this Wednesday, March 6.

Since then, according to our information, the negotiations to compose a new list have proven particularly tense. The press release which will be released this Sunday seems to put an end to it.
