Thierry Mathieu, conseiller régional de la majorité en Occitanie, livre son point de vue sur les législatives à venir au lendemain de la dissolution de l’Assemblée nationale par le Président de la République, Emmanuel Macron.

"Lorsque le peuple s’exprime, il faut l’écouter", assures Thierry Mathieu, regional advisor to the majority in Occitanie, the day after the European election. In Béziers, the RN totaled 40.5% of the votes. The expression of suffering, analyzes Thierry Mathieu:  "Many Biterrois are suffering, we must hear them without lecturing them. This result was expected, it is there. It’s anger. Our fellow citizens suffer from a lack of authority and respect in the Republic. Inflation has also put a whole part of the population in dire difficulties. We must therefore act."

"Was the member helpful ?"

And the regional elected official continues in the tone of criticism of the MP for the 6th constituency of Hérault,  Emmanuelle Menard. "Elections will take place again, the legislative ones. Was the MP in place in Béziers useful ? I don't think so", he believes.&amp ;nbsp;"For the legislative elections in Béziers, I believe in a Republican candidacy which will make it possible to avoid populists and extremes and to hear the people of Béziers most affected by social injustice. I don't believe in demagogic promises that solve everything at once. We need to tell the truth about issues and address them."
