Propriété de la marque ASBH : le juge tranche en faveur du club

#BÉZIERS – The Marseille judicial court ruled in favor of the ASBH rugby club, by ordering Constance Calandri to transfer ownership of the ASBH brands to the club. La Biterroise registered the ASBH brand last November with the National Institute of Intellectual Property, taking advantage of the expiration of the previous registration made by the ASBH association, official owner of the brand. Which immediately filed a complaint for fraud, joined in this process by the professional club. Constance Calandri can still appeal.

#PYRÉNÉES-ORIENTALES – After Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (Lot) in 2012 and Cordes-sur-Ciel (Tarn) in 2014, Occitanie has added a third town to the list of the French people's favourite village. The competition presented by Stéphane Bern on France 3 awarded this year to the Catalan port of Collioure, well-known to tourists and immortalised by the painter Matisse at the beginning of the 20th century. “I am very happy, I need everything that can make the town shine, reacted the mayor, Guy Llobet. Collioure is known for its painters, but also for its cultural and environmental history, and all of this makes it an extraordinary village. We had all the arguments to win this title", the mayor is still pleased.

A hundred people evacuated from a campsite

#LOZÈRE – A violent storm affected the Banassac-Canilhac sector in Lozère on Thursday, causing widespread damage. A thousand people in the municipalities of Banassac-la-Canourgue, Saint-Laurent-de-Muret, Saint-Chély-d’Apcher, in Lozère, were deprived of electricity. At the valley municipal campsite, in Banassac (photo), 108 people were evacuated, including around forty children from Aveyron who had come to summer camp. Two people were slightly injured. Many trees fell on the roads, depriving access to a hamlet. Aveyron also suffered numerous violent storms and hailstorms. The village of Saint-Laurent-d’Olt was particularly affected.

No more public lighting because of ants!

#TARN-ET-GARONNE – This might sound a lot like a disaster movie scenario, with nasty little critters terrorizing an entire town! A resident of Varen (Tarn-et-Garonne) reported to the town hall that there was no longer any public lighting in the evening in certain sectors of the town. The elected officials went to locate the origin of the problem and therefore decided to inspect the electrical boxes. What was their surprise to notice a large invasion of ants in the box which serves part of the town.

There is therefore no longer any public lighting in the area impacted by the nuisances of these ants until July 16 at best, said the Varen town hall, in a post published on Facebook. A technical team must intervene to repair this breakdown during the day on Tuesday and, above all, neutralize and chase away the ants. Until then, Varen residents who want to go and take some fresh air in the evening in the streets of the village will have to take out their flashlight…

#OCCITANIE – In millions of euros, the amount of the plan devoted to artificial intelligence adopted by regional elected officials, Thursday, for the period 2024 to 2028. Called Strategy IA Occitanie, an ambition for a territory of responsible artificial intelligence (AI), this new plan aims to promote research, innovation and support businesses. The Occitanie Region has set itself the objective of doubling the number of young innovative companies in Occitanie by 2028, from 50 today to 100 per year.
