The various associations of the Federation of Bullfighting Clubs of Biterrois have planned various events during the Feria. Presentation of the must-see places for aficionados.

As every year, Place Emile Zola will be the epicentre of the activities offered by the federation of bullfighting clubs. The association, chaired by Bernard Mula, brings together most of the bullfighting associations in the Béziers area. Every evening from 15 to 18 August, a tertulia will be organised after the bullfights in the courtyard of the church of the Immaculate Conception (13 boulevard de Genève). The opportunity to debrief the bullfight between aficionados and to be able to ask questions to Michel Daudé, the President of the Béziers arenas, who will be accompanied by his two assessors. A wine tasting will conclude the exchanges.

Two free tientas instead Emile Zola

Friday and Saturday, a free tenuta will be offered following this tertulia (10 p.m.) on Place Emile Zola. A show that aims to be educational for « understanding bullfighting » and the opportunity for students from the Biterroise bullfighting school to show their talent to aficionados. La Peña Oliva will also welcome aficionados every lunchtime and evening (9 boulevard de Genève). Friday will take place the traditional evening of the mayorals of the ganaderias of the Feria, and on Sunday the Prize for the best spade will be awarded at the end of the Margé bullfight.

The other unmissable place for the local bullfighting world will be the « caseta Christian Parejo » in the « Circus » bodega on the forecourt of the arenas, which will open its doors on Wednesday 14 August (8:30 p.m.). Several events are organised every day at midday (1 p.m.) with an auction of a Christian Parejo cape on Thursday, the presentation of a muleta will be made by the Béziers maestro on Friday, then by Victor Mendes on Saturday, to the winner of the morning novilladas without picador. Finally, on Sunday, the Béziers bullfighting union will award the traditional “silver tastevin” in this bodega to the winner of the novillada piquée before the draw for the “bullfighter's watch” raffle. organized by El Mundillo (participation in 06 13 01 18 05).

The doors of the bullfighting museum (7 rue Massol) will also be open (free) until Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Alongside the usual treasures of the place, a temporary exhibition is proposed: « Bioulès en piste, la collection Fontaine ». On August 17 (1 p.m.), the museum will host the Brotherhood of Sant André de la Galinière to induct Pierre Caillet, ASBH coach Stéphane Gruss and Gilles Boyer.
