Exceptional, the rugby players of Jacou lift the French Excellence B champion shield

The Jacou reserve team won the title of French Excellence B champion this Sunday afternoon, June 23, after beating US L'Isloise, 24-14 on the Lavelanet pitch.

Through their play of movement, the Jacoumards not only won a title of French champions, they conquered the hearts of a stadium, numerically yet little won over to their cause. "We lose against much stronger" we heard on the Isle en Dodon side. Because Jacou did not sell his soul to the challenge: "We wanted to stay true to ourselves" confided the very young coach Raphaël Homps. This identity is that of Ouchène, an almost systematic scorer (22 tries in the regular season). It’s that of Mora, scrum half darling of the club who found this very small space at the edge of the ruck.
