At the end of last week, around fifteen farmers took action in the Carrefour supermarket in Pézenas to denounce industrial marketing which passes off foreign products as products from our regions! RN deputy Aurélien Lopez-Ligori joined them. 

In the shelves of the Carrefour supermarket in Pézenas, at the end of last week, around fifteen farmers from the FNSEA and Young Farmers conducted a "educational action"to point out questionable practices on supermarket shelves. With them, a trolley, which they filled, over the minutes, with products that were out of place. Most often foreigners, and/or with misleading marketing, taking advantage of the value of French articles with a good reputation.

"Francization"

"Francization consists of presenting a foodstuff as French when’it is not", underlined the RN deputy Aurélien Lopez Liguori, who accompanied them in this operation to denounce this abuse practiced by certain dishonest industrialists. "Provençal olives grown in Morocco, Spanish wines hidden under the names of our terroirs, honey & quot;from our mountains" originating from Romania: with flashy blue-white-red marketing, many brands do not hesitate to deceive the consumer about the origin of the products presented& quot;, continued the deputy. "According to the services of the Hérault prefecture, a third of the checks carried out since beginning of the year in large and medium-sized stores reveal practices that do not comply with regulations, it is time to sound the alarm to guarantee consumers the right to information and farmers , the right to live from their work in fair conditions".
