Father killed in Aveyron: the alleged perpetrator of the murder has been indicted, his placement in pre-trial detention is required

Ce lundi 18 mars 2024, l’auteur présumé qui a tué le père de famille avec une arme blanche sur le parking d’un supermarché dans l’Aveyron a été mis en examen.
This Saturday, a 23-year-old young man attacked a father with a bladed weapon, in front of his wife and children, in the parking lot of the Super U in Onet-le-Château, in Aveyron. This Monday, the Montpellier public prosecutor's office announced the indictment of the alleged perpetrator, reports AFP cited by the Figaro.
Remand detention required
"The accused was presented today to the Montpellier public prosecutor's office who requested the opening of a judicial investigation for murder, attempted of murder, deliberate endangerment of others and intentional violence committed with a weapon by a person in a state of intoxication. The pre-trial detention of the accused was requested", indicated Fabrice Bélargent, Montpellier prosecutor.
As a reminder, two people were attacked with knives at the Super U in Onet-le-Château in Aveyron, early in the evening, this Saturday 16 ;March 2024, reports Centre Presse.
The victims are a couple and their child who were returning from vacation and stopping off in the department. The father succumbed to his injuries while the mother was more lightly injured. The latter in fact received a stab wound under the breast.
She was hospitalized but her vital prognosis is not in jeopardy. The son of the couple who witnessed the scene was found in a state of shock. He was taken care of by a psychologist.
"His friends told him to stop his bullshit"
Refusing to find the slightest excuse, the suspect's mother describes to our colleagues a "child who grew up without a framework and  ;who took refuge in drugs and alcohol.
"He was very well surrounded by his friends who told him to stop his bullshit, including stealing my car because he was doing rodeos and I was afraid an accident would happen, she continues. Saturday, he harassed me on the phone so that I could give him money. I refused and I was planning to kick him out of the house last night because I couldn't do it with him anymore."
