Nessim Ramdane, un chauffeur VTC et footballeur amateur, âgé d’une trentaine d’années, a été abattu par balle dans son véhicule le 4 octobre vers 4 h 30 du matin. Le suspect est un adolescent de 14 ans.
Nessim Ramdane, known for being “a man without a story”, was a father and football enthusiast in his thirties. On the night of October 3 to 4, around 4:30 a.m., he was shot in the head in the 3rd arrondissement of Marseille, while he was in his vehicle. The suspect, a 14-year-old boy, was identified as the shooter.
Shot in the head
According to BFMTV, Nessim was simply working to support his family that night, as Nicolas Bessone, public prosecutor of Marseille, pointed out during a press conference on Sunday, October 6. After accepting a ride, he picked up two men in his car, including the teenager tasked with eliminating another person in a context of revenge.
As they were heading towards the Félix Pyat estate, the passengers thought they saw their target in the street and asked the driver to stop and wait for them. Nessim, refusing to comply, was shot in cold blood in the back of the head by the 14-year-old armed with a 357 Magnum.
The prosecutor quickly dismissed the idea of a settling of scores linked to drug trafficking, clearly stating that Nessim had no connection with this milieu.
Football enthusiast
A father of four, Nessim Ramdane was very popular, particularly in the regional football clubs where he had spent a large part of his life. Passionate about football since his childhood, he played in various clubs such as Endoume, Athlético de Marseille, Fos-sur-Mer, Carnoux, Saint-Zacharie and Six-Fours-les-Plages.
His tragic death has deeply shaken the world of amateur football. Nessim was not only a player, he was also involved as an educator, passing on his passion to the youngest. Fabrice Coulomb, sports director of Carnoux Football Club, expressed the general sadness in a tribute on Facebook, describing Nessim as an upright and respectful man, admired by all those who knew him.
His former club, ES Fos-sur-Mer, also paid tribute to "a person with a big heart and a player exceptional", highlighting his determined character but also his endearing and respectful side. The Var district paid tribute to his memory by evoking his role as "player, captain, educator and technical manager", and the Saint-Zacharie club observed a minute of silence in his honor at the François Coulomb stadium.
Nessim Ramdane is unanimously described as "a man with a big heart, a great dad and a loyal friend".
