Surprises, satisfactions but also disappointments, the results of this regular season for the Hérault, Gard and Aveyron clubs.

Seven months, 18 matches, thousands of kilometers swallowed by buses and finally the smell of merguez… Around the final stages for the best, after the “touch” in training for those whose season has ended, Sunday April 7 in the evening.

In the final stages

Servian-Boujan, barely down from Fédérale 2, kept its rank and its opponents away from first place in its group 8. Fourth best team in France, the SBR will act as ;scarecrow from the 32nd finals.

He will be accompanied by Vendres-Lespignan-Sauvian, the only team to have knocked him out this season. The Green and White snatched third qualifying place on the last day, and will hope to go further than last season (defeat in the 32nd round).

On the wire, Rodez Rugby also validated its ticket for the final stages after a final match with a stunning scenario, in its group 9. On the Caussade lawn, the Ruthenois were trailing 21-3, before signing a late match in cannonball to finally win 35-34, and ensure, not without difficulty, qualification.

For the last qualifier, we had to wait five years to see him again at this level: RC Jacou. The club from the suburbs of Montpellier, assured of participating at least in the play-offs, four or five days before the end of the season, still went to win at Mourillon (31-30) to ensure a home match, against the Isérois of Renage-Rives, on April 21.

Maintained

After a successful first exercise in Federale 3 with a defeat in the round of 32 last season, RC Sète initially got off to a very strong start this year.

Unfortunately for Anthony Michel and his teammates, injuries but especially indiscipline greatly disrupted their season.
The arrival of Michel Milovic at the bedside of the maritime club still made it possible to save the club, in danger of relegation at a certain time of the season in a group 7 facing the south-east.

In pool 8, the Aveyronnais of Saint-Affrique have long flirted with qualification. Rather accustomed to playing it safe in previous seasons, the residents of the Devillers stadium were able to take shelter more quickly this season, to enjoy a quieter end to the season.

Relegated

No miracle for the ABB, not sufficiently prepared for this season of Federale 3, and which will return to the regional level next September.

In pool 6, RC Cévenol did not do poorly, even pocketing eight victories in eighteen matches. However, the Alésiens, with this honorable record, find themselves “in the cart” and will evolve in R1 next season.
