Felicity Huffman is found melee to be a big scandal : she was accused of having paid bribes to allow her daughter to integrate an american university prestigious. Nearly a month after the revelation of this case, the ex-singer of Lynette Scavo in ‘Desperate Housewives’ breaks the silence to apologize to his daughter in particular. It has also decided to plead guilty.

It is a business that makes a lot of noise at the moment : Felicity Huffman as well as 33 other parents such as Lori Loughlin are accused of corruption. While the former star of Desperate Housewives would have paid eur 15 000 for his eldest daughter to be accepted in a great university, the former actress of 90210, the next generation would have it paid up to 50 000 euros to help his two daughters to integrate the University of Southern California. A practice is totally illegal.

“I am ashamed of the pain I’ve caused to my daughter”

Felicity Huffman was arrested march 12 and released on bail 12 hours later. Today, the scandal takes on a whole new turn as the ex-singer of Lynette Scavo intends to plead guilty just like the other 13 parents : Lori Loughlin does not appear on the list. This decision will avoid to go through a heavy trial. Felicity Huffman has announced his choice in a press release in which it explains the history of bribes and apologizes.

I accept fully my guilt and responsibility for my actions with regret and shame of what I did. I am ashamed of the pain I’ve caused to my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community. I present my apologies to the students who work hard to be admitted to the university, and to their parents who make sacrifices to support their child“, she says.

A sentence of 20 years in prison ?

Felicity Huffman continues : “My daughter was not aware of any of my actions. I’ve betrayed. This transgression against her and the public, I will carry on my shoulders all my life. My desire to help my daughter doesnít excuse the fact of breaking the law.” For having transgressed the rule, the one who was made to tackle by Nicollette Sheridan could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of 250 000 euros.
