The Feria is a wealth of entertainment but also places to eat and drink. Inflation has been reigning for several years now. Midi Libre went to visit the casetas, in the village of the 3rd half-time, on the Paul-Riquet alleys, to take stock of the prices of food and drinks.

From top to bottom of the Paul-Riquet alleys, Midi Libre took stock, this Thursday, August 15, of the prices of all the casetas from top to bottom of the Paul alleys -Riquet. Overall, we note prices between 15 € and 30 € for a dish. For drinks, Jean-Marc Cabrol, president of the Village of the 3rd half, indicates "that a fixed price has been established in advance " : 3 € for a beer or soda, 15 € for a bottle of wine (75cl). Before adding: “At the board meeting, it was decided to impose the serving of Coteaux de Béziers wines at the Village de la 3e mi-temps. The purchase price was also set with the cooperative wineries (4.50 euros) and the estates (5.50 euros).” Similarly, for bread, professionals must buy from their partner, the bakery Le Cristal.

“For sodas and beers, the casetas work with Audie Beverages. In all, a hundred partners support the Village de la 3e mi-temps association” he specifies.”For the price of dishes, no directive has been given. Everyone did what they wanted." On the gastronomy side, several corners of France are represented in the 3rd Half Village (Tarn, Corsica, Normandy, Quercy) but also Brazil. Three Biterroise casetas remain the Riquet, the Basilique and AMG caterer.

For my part, I like to cook and I only buy fresh, quality products. My meat, for example, comes from Aveyron. We sell a lot of foie gras." Before adding: "The prices alone do not correspond to anything. We must take into account our expenses and the salaries to be paid to our employees. We are professionals with know-how.” Concerning the charges, Jean-Marc Cabrol states an amount of 3,500 euros to 8,000 euros depending on the number of marquees and the surface area of ​​the location. This amount includes programming, SACEM, security and decoration.

For Denis, manager of the Corsican restaurant Caseta: “The price charged depends on the quality of the products and their importation. There are cities where raw materials are purchased more expensively than others. I have my charcuterie delivered from Corsica once or twice during the feria, otherwise I buy from Métro. We also try to work with local businesses and this year, I was surprised not to find a market gardener."

Outside the 3rd Halftime Village on the Allées

Please note that at the top of the Paul-Riquet alleys, several casetas are not part of the 3rd Halftime Village and are therefore not subject to the same conditions. “I buy from promocash.
