Ce jeudi 5 septembre, ils vont assister aux épreuves pour la médaille de bronze de tennis en fauteuil roulant qui se jouent à Roland-Garros.

This is a reward for the fifteen students from the Louis-Feuillade high school who boarded the train this Wednesday, September 4, at Montpellier station, to reach the capital and its Paralympic excitement.

All from the Agora final year class (assistance with the management of organizations and their activities) labeled “Generation 2024”, they see this as a happy culmination of all their actions carried out within their establishment under the banner of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The wheelchair tennis events

Supervised by the two economics and management teachers Sylvie Roig and Christophe Henneuse, as well as by the deputy director of professional and technological training (DDFPT) Catherine Andriuzzi, the group of young people from Lunellois will attend, this Thursday, September 5, the wheelchair tennis events at Roland-Garros, a legendary sports venue, for the bronze medal in the category.

Other emblematic sites of the capital but in the heritage category this time, the high school students of Louis-Feuillade will discover, before their return on Friday, June 6 in the evening, the Louvre Museum and the Palace of Versailles.

The visit of the rector of the academy Sophie Béjean

Before boarding their carriage, equipped with two large stuffed Olympic Phryges, the red mascot of the Paris Olympics, the students, accompanied by their headmistress Ghislaine Lefort, received a visit, within the grounds of the Saint-Roch train station, from the rector of the Montpellier academy Sophie Béjean and the deputy academic director of the National Education services (Daasen) Catherine Côme.

A great start, therefore, for which a delegation from Lunel represented by Sonia Mokaddem, municipal deputy for children and youth, Stéphane Boivin, director of the service sport, youth and community life, and her assistant Jennifer Lequet, played the game by also being present!
