And five! Emergency services recorded a fifth fire in the space of twenty-four hours, at the Col de la Défriche, on the heights of Lodève, this Friday, April 19 at the start of the afternoon.

A fire started, near the four others recorded Thursday afternoon between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., along the GR 653, in an area not accessible by car, which required the firefighters to fight the flames.

The probability that it is a resumption of fire is quite low

The place being isolated, they had difficulty getting there, allowing the fire to grow and engulf 4,000 m2 of pine forest. Whereas the day before, in four fire outbreaks, 5,000 m2 of vegetation had been ravaged.

According to the first investigations, carried out by the gendarmes of the Lodève company, "the probability that it is a resumption of fire is quite low".
