Seven contraventions of salty $ 1200 each have been given recently to Americans who were in the Banff national park in Alberta without reason.
It is the result of a complaint that the royal Canadian mounted police has occurred.
Six of the seven fines have been given in the area of lake Louise, said the spokesman of the federal police Deanna Fountain to the Global network, Sunday. These people were in this area for a few days to go hiking.
“If a traveller american obtained permission to return to Canada by the canadian border services for a reason, they must comply with these requirements,” said Ms. Fontaine.
“According to the orders of health officials, an essential travel only allows you to go from point A to point B, with the possibility of stopping to fuel, eat or rest. A long hike in a national park is not a travel essential”, she added to Global.
The spokesperson for the RCMP stated that its police department was not trying to flush out the Americans fault, but that he was going to crack in case of complaints or if offences were recorded by officers.
