MONTRÉAL – Place Bonaventure, where took place a great number of exhibitions each year, has had to close permanently its exhibition halls earlier than planned due to the pandemic.
“The closure of the exhibition halls was already scheduled for 2020,” recalls Marie-Eve St-Arnaud, executive assistant of the company Kevric, who manages the Place Bonaventure.
The pandemic forced the cancellation of the last two events which were to be taken : the Living room of the manufacturing technology of Montreal, and the Design exhibition.
So it is officially finished for the expos in this building situated in the heart of downtown Montreal, above the Bonaventure metro station. The place has notably hosted the book fair for 42 years.
Inaugurated in 1968, the great hall of Place Bonaventure could contain more than 1100 booths, with a capacity of 200 000 square feet of space is developable.
