Fortunately, there were no casualties in this incident which took place this Sunday, August 18 in Clarensac.

The Gard firefighters intervened this Sunday, August 18, at around 2:50 p.m., for a fire in a single-family home in the town of Clarensac, west of Nîmes in the Gard department.

When help arrived, all the occupants had evacuated the house. The rapid deployment of firefighting equipment from the Nîmes Saint-Césaire, Nîmes centre and Vergèze emergency centres made it possible to preserve the upper-floor part of the home.

Enedis and the gendarmerie in support

However, the ground floor, whose roof was equipped with photovoltaic panels, was completely destroyed. Clearing operations were still underway at the end of the day. Enedis and the national gendarmerie were also present to support the action of the firefighters.
