Samedi soir 13 juillet 2024, le feu d’artifice et le bal populaire ont lancé les festivités de la fête nationale à Mende. Ce dimanche 14 juillet 2024, le défilé de la fanfare avec les autorités ont marqué le symbole place du Foirail.

Decorated police officers
After the raising of the colors, four police officers were decorated with the medal of honor for acts of bravery and dedication, from the hands of the prefect of Lozère, Philippe Castanet: Éric Bonanno, head of the municipal police, Germain Marie Chevrier, Mickaël Debyser, peace guards, Sélim Kheliliche, deputy police officer. Laurent Suau, mayor of the city, gave a very republican speech in the face of the issues of the time: "Hope is allowed because the French people are showing great resilience", he said.
