Saturday June 8, the Joyeuse pétanque mixed organized the first edition of the Challenge des rênes. Spread out over the day, the pétanque players played in pool with recovery, in men's triplet and women's doublet.

The semi-finals and finals of the two categories took place at the middle of the arenas which have taken on another face. "For three years of presidency, these arenas have caught my eye and made me want to invest them, this full day of competition allows the thing. Thanks to Michel Cassagne, president of the bullfighting club who opened the arenas wide for us like his arms… We had planned 48 teams in triplet and 24 teams in doublet. We have not reached the maximum level but this favors good humor and conviviality. The paella served for 100 people delighted everyone." The day passed in good humor and the final in the arenas brought a very special character to the event.
