Flames: Darryl Sutter praises Jonathan Huberdeau


Jonathan Huberdeau's biggest supporter at the Calgary Flames may well be head coach Darryl Sutter.

The Alberta squad driver made a very nice compliment to the Quebecer, Monday.

“Jonathan Huberdeau is probably the best passer this team has had, maybe even in the whole history [of the club]”, declared Sutter whose remarks were reported by the Sportsnet network.

Last year, while wearing the colors of the Florida Panthers, the 29-year-old forward amassed 85 assists, a peak in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Huberdeau joined the Flames on July 22 along with defenseman MacKenzie Weegar, prospect Cole Schwindt and a 2025 first-round pick In return, the Panthers got winger Matthew Tkachuk and a fourth-round selection.
