Red Flamingo (lat. Phoenicopterus ruber) is widely distributed throughout the world, inhabiting the banks of rivers or lakes. In the winter, this heat-loving bird migrates and returns home in the spring for nesting. The Spanish island of Majorca is one of the favorite wintering grounds: these flamingos come in August-September and go until early April.
More surprising was the appearance of a Flamingo on the runway of the airport of Palma de Mallorca on 7 April. Unusual was the behavior of the birds: she was calmly walking, oblivious to the beeps and moving vehicles. The pilots who shot the video called the March of the flamingos “elegant”, and passengers were welcome greeting from the world of nature.
The incident ended without consequences: a bird just flew away.
