In a video, Jean-Luc Mélenchon (LFI) suggested that there was no “intellectual elite in Lozère”. Sophie Pantel, recent NFP MP for Lozère, did not appreciate this.

At the end of August 2024, during the summer university of La France Insoumise, Jean-Luc Mélenchon declared that there was no “intellectual elite in Lozère”.
